Kimberly's journey began with a robust educational foundation. She earned her Juris Doctorate
from the Southern University Law Center in 2007, focusing on mediation, bankruptcy, real
estate, mental disabilities, construction, and tax law. Prior to this, she graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Microbiology in 2004. Her
education provided a solid groundwork for her multifaceted career, blending legal expertise with a passion for public service and organizational leadership.

Career and Professional Accomplishments
Kimberly's professional journey is marked by a series of impactful roles where she
demonstrated her strategic vision and operational execution skills. As the President and
Executive Director of IGL Foundation, Gamehedz Productions, and Independent Gaming
League LLC, she has been at the helm of strategic partnerships and day-to-day operations,
ensuring the alignment of business objectives with organizational goals. Her leadership has
been instrumental in fostering productive relationships with boards, members, stakeholders, and
government agencies. Kimmie was promoted to the position of President of the
companies IGL Foundation, GameHedz Productions and Independent Gaming League
after the untimely transition of her brother Derek Thomas in 2019, leaving a void not
only in hearts but the leader of the IGL tribe. She formerly held the position as Executive
Director/VP for all organizations and advanced by the will of the team, as well as her
brother, in an effort to carry on the vision and legacy of Derek.
